Inglis farce shows Blues bloodline blunder

THEY share the same relatives, emulated the same Origin heroes and grew up in the same NSW town.
Yet somehow Bowraville cousins Greg Inglis and Albert Kelly have been divided along state lines.
In an indictment of Origin’s farcical eligibility rules, the pair will don different-coloured jerseys at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.
Given he was raised 400km south of the Tweed, Maroon-clad Inglis has infuriated NSW fans since he mysteriously made his debut for Queensland three years ago.

New time table for Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway

Member for Liverpool Paul Lynch today announced eight extra services would operate on the from 28 June 2009.

Mr Lynch said a new timetable for the Route T80 would give local passengers an extra 36 trips every week.
He said patronage for the Route T80 continued to rise with 2.52 million passenger trips taken last financial year, an increase of nearly a quarter of a million on the previous year.

Burrell murder appeal dismissed

The Court of Criminal Appeal has dismissed an attempt by Bruce Burrell to have his conviction overturned for the 1997 kidnap and murder of Sydney woman Kerry Whelan.

39-year-old Kerry Whelan disappeared in 1997 from outside a Parramatta Hotel and her body has never been found.
Bruce Burrell was convicted in 2006 of the crime.
Today Burrell’s appeal was dismissed, with the court saying his crime was clearly a premeditated and planned murder for financial gain.
This is the third time the Court of Criminal Appeal has handed down a decision on this matter.
