NSW Waratahs’ move to leave Timana Tahu on bench triggered clause

New South Wales Waratahs’ decision to bench Timana Tahu for nearly half the Super 14 season helped trigger the get-out clause in his contract.

Reasons behind Tahu’s impending return to Parramatta began to emerge as the runaway Waratah finally sat down with ARU officials on Friday night at St Leonards to ask for a release.

Search for Australia’s best Family cooks at Parramatta

A group of Manly firefighters, a former Olympian and a team of “groovy grandmas” are among the 10 “families” who will cook-off against one another in Sydney next week in a bid to secure a spot in the unique new reality family cooking show, Coles Great Aussie Cook Off.

Parramatta - $22m student accommodation

UWS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janice Reid, officially opened the $22 million, 343-bed student apartment complex, on the Parramatta campus, at Rydalmere.

The complex was developed and is operated by student accommodation provider, Campus Living Villages, in partnership with UWS. Campus Living Villages, based in Sydney, specialises in residential communities for students and owns, operates or is developing approximately 50,000 beds at more than 50 universities in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

AUS - Boomers camp starts wednesday

PARRAMATTA (2009 FIBA Oceania Championship) - Australia’s men’s basketball team, the Boomers, will begin a five day training camp at The Kings School in Parramatta tomorrow with South America on the mind.

Athlete performance at the camp will determine the team that Basketball Australia selects to tour South America, with the side departing Sydney on Monday 27 July bound for Brazil and Argentina.
