Bikie 11 face airport murder charge

All 11 Comanchero involved in a brawl with the Hells Angels at Sydney Airport in March are expected to be charged with the murder of Anthony Zervas, the Herald can reveal.

The 11 men have all already been charged with riot and affray relating to the brawl at terminal three of Sydney Airport on March 22. Zervas, 29, died during the brawl.
Comanchero president Mahmoud ‘‘Mick’’ Hawi and another member have been charged with murder.

SOARING demand for affordable residential real estate is prompting buyers to pay tens of thousands of dollars more than the advertised price on websites and has even sparked a punch-up at an auction in Sydney’s Parramatta.

Govt launches rail line environmental review

The New South Wales Government has lodged a preliminary environmental assessment of the west metro rail line with the Department of Planning.

The $9 billion underground metro would run from the CBD to Westmead with 11 stops including Leichhardt, Strathfield and Parramatta.
The Government says it now plans to consult with the community about the fine details.
Transport Minister David Campbell says a partnership with private business or the Federal Government is needed to fund the project.

Parramatta receives $500,000 tourism funding

Parramatta Council received earlier this week a $500,000 cheque from the Federal Minister for Tourism to fund tourism development in Parramatta.
The funding from Minister Hon. Martin Ferguson AM MP will be used for the design and development of a series of tourism trails that connect key heritage sites across the city.

Visitors will learn the stories of Parramatta’s past through creative heritage interpretation and digital media products.
