THE Rudd Government’s strategy to encourage more women into local government is on the wrong track, according to the two independent women councillors of Parramatta and Holroyd.

Lorraine Wearne, of Parramatta, and Holroyd’s Yvette Whitfield scoffed at the Rudd plan of funding programs and studies, which they say will do little to encourage women onto councils.

RHYTHM is one of the world’s great unifiers, with almost every culture using percussion in its native music.
Embracing this shared heritage, this year’s Riverbeats Live concert in Parramatta will feature contemporary band Moth, which will take the stage following a parade of almost 100 performers representing the percussive traditions of several different cultures.
Moth is a new project from Synergy Percussion, which, over the past 35 years, has become internationally-renowned, collaborating with groups such as Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Dance Company.

Criniti’s is very large and was packed and popular. There’s also a store at Darling Harbour and if your ever in need of a ‘1 metre’ wood fired pizza or 1 kg of BBQ ribs then this is the place to find them.

When we got there, we were promptly escorted to our table. And that’s probably where the decent service ended LOL. Our first encounter with bad service occurred with us getting tea. They completely neglected to ask us if we wanted, and what type of tea we wanted.
