Parramatta Stadium will once again be transformed into a massive dirt colosseum for an epic supercross showdown between two of the sport’s greats, when Monster Energy Super X returns to Sydney for its only New South Wales round on November 14.
In his first ever Sydney race, America’s Jeremy McGrath, who is the greatest supercross racer of all time, will battle it out with Australia’s two time world supercross champion, Chad Reed, to claim top spot on the podium in the fifth round of the 2009 Australasian Supercross Championship.

PARRAMATTA will host the biggest Indian festival in Australia which will bring Hindus from all over the country and overseas.
The Festival of Lights, or Diwali, will be held at Parramatta Stadium on Sunday (October 11).
Last year the festival, organised by the Hindu Council of Australia, was held at Sydney Olympic Park and drew a crowd of 20,000.
Last week, Parramatta Lord Mayor Paul Garrard agreed to open the festival and to have a Happy Diwali low-voltage sign erected on the town hall for a week.

SYDNEY - Chicago might have lost the 2016 Olympic bid, but at least its citizens won’t have an Olympic financial fiasco.

Parramatta’s newly elected Lord Mayor Cr Paul Garrard called on the State Government to ensure a sustainable ferry service is established for the capital of western Sydney.
Reports that more than 50 ferry runs between Parramatta and the City were cancelled every month due to tidal restrictions only highlighted the unsuitability of Sydney Ferries’ RiverCat fleet.
