Waterlow in custody over double murder

Anthony Waterlow has not applied for bail after being charged over a double murder in Sydney’s east.
After nearly three weeks on the run, Antony Waterlow was arrested yesterday and charged over the stabbing murders of his father Nick and sister Chloe at her Randwick home.
The 42-year-old has also been charged with recklessly wounding a two-year-old child.
He appeared at Parramatta Local Court via video link from holding cell at Penrith. He did not apply for bail.

Thousands of Australian Tamils attend Maveerar Remembrance Day in Sydney

More than two thousand australian tamils attended the Maveerar Day, a remembrance day for the fallen heroes  held today, the Saturday 28 November 2009 at 6.30pm at Parramatta Park, Sydney, reports said.
The Maveerar day commemoration began with a minute of silence for all those who lost their lives in the national struggle for self determination, said a report. Teen girls spit, steal and punch in rampage

Two teenage girls have been charged over a rampage through Drummoyne in Sydney’s inner west yesterday afternoon.
Police say that when they arrived at the corner of Victoria Road and Lyons Road yesterday, the pair had allegedly already assaulted three people.
It is alleged the melee started when the girls stole a piggy bank from the front counter of a dry cleaners store.
They then allegedly punched the shop keeper.
