Neelam Indian Restaurant wins Best Dressed Award

Neelam Indian restaurant in Macquarie Street, Parramatta, has won Parramatta City Council’s competition to produce the ‘Best Dressed Business’ display. The competition was held to celebrate the visit of Indian composer A.R. Rahman at Parramatta Park on Saturday 16 January.
The owner of Neelam Restaurant, Mr Gyan Chand, received his prize of a full-page free advertisement in the Parramatta Advertiser and a double pass to Sydney Festival events from the Lord Mayor of Parramatta Cr Paul Garrard.

Very popular

Criniti’s is very large and was packed and popular. There’s also a store at Darling Harbour and if your ever in need of a ‘1 metre’ wood fired pizza or 1 kg of BBQ ribs then this is the place to find them.

The pizza base was really yummy and dish portion sizes seemed to be quite generous. The Seafood Spiedino had tasty pieces of seafood and the Calamari Fritti had a decent crisp with unmistakable pepper throughout. Staff move quickly around the restaurant to try and keep up with …

Spur of the moment Yum Cha in Parramatta - we chose Prince Restaurant on Church St.

When we got there, we were promptly escorted to our table. And that’s probably where the decent service ended LOL. Our first encounter with bad service occurred with us getting tea. They completely neglected to ask us if we wanted, and what type of tea we wanted. Six food bloggers in a restaurant can never be missed.
I often wonder what we must look like to the casual passerby, a table of diners intent on photographing each dish with such seriousness, their faces obscured by a camera lens.
Tonight I’m dining with fellow food bloggers Lex, Minh, Richard, Simon and Suze. It takes some time for six people to get the shot they’re finally happy with, but when the photos are done, it’s onto the food and plenty of conversation.
