Bishop Anthony Fisher will be installed as the third Bishop of Parramatta tonight in a Mass that starts at 7.30pm.

The mass will be streamed live through the Catholic social networking site www.xt3.com, which can be accessed through the website of the Diocese of Parramatta.

Parramatta City Council will again support the Mother’s Day Classic, to be held on Sunday 9 May, to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s research programs.
The Mother’s Day Classic is Australia’s largest charity walk/run event and aims to increase awareness of breast cancer in the community.

The first ever street count of homeless people in Parramatta was held on Monday 15 February and organisers have said the results will assist in future policy development to combat homelessness.
“This project has provided us with firm data that will form part of the overall research program we are undertaking with our partners at the University of Western Sydney” said Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Cr Paul Garrard.

Jack Feldstein is a Sydney-based film-maker specialising in animated movies using a neon process. He is heading to New York.

Feldstein is also a highy accredited scriptwriter whose play “The French Girl” was performed at the Short+Sweet Drama Festival in Sydney last week.
