Police are appealing for public help to locate three men in relation to a large-scale ATM skimming scam involving teller machines in in Bankstown, Parramatta, Burwood, Chinatown, Haymarket and Wollongong.
Since October last year, detectives have received more than 100 complaints about money being stolen from private bank accounts.
Officers formed Strike Force Doon which established that one or more skimming devices had been attached to several automatic teller machines in the northern Wollongong area.

Irish trad star Sharon Shannon makes a welcome return to Oz in the new year as she plays shows in Sydney and Perth.
Sharon kicks off her Aussie tour at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta, before landing in Sydney to play three nights as part of the Sydney Festival.
The Clare musician will then round off her tour with one-night at the Becks Music Box in WA as part of the Perth International Arts Festival on February 7.

A British man has appeared briefly in a Perth court to face charges linked to what police say is Australia’s biggest-ever eftops card skimming operation.
Elangovan Ganeshamoorthy, 36, was not required to plead to charges of conspiracy to defraud when he appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The British citizen was extradited to Perth on Tuesday after being arrested in Sydney on Monday, following a national and international investigation dubbed Operation Mintox.
Ganeshamoorthy made no application for bail and was remanded to appear in the same court on January 22 next year.

AN urgent bid to ban paedophile Dennis Ferguson from parks and pools has failed on legal grounds, leaving him free to access them during school holidays.
Police had sought an interim order from Parramatta Local Court banning Mr Ferguson from using public pools and parks and taking part in work that could bring him into unsupervised contact with children.
However, Magistrate Paula Russell today dismissed their application.
Police will now seek permanent order.

After 18 days on the run, Antony Waterlow has been charged with the murder of his father and sister following a dramatic standoff with police in Sydney bushland.
The 42-year-old had been the subject of a massive police manhunt after the stabbing deaths.
