A 42-year-old man has been charged with murdering his British art curator father and cook book author sister in Australia.

Nick Waterlow, 68, and 37-year-old Chloe Waterlow were found stabbed to death at her home in Sydney on November 9.
The curator’s son Antony was armed with a small knife when he was arrested in north west Sydney, Australia.

AFTER more than two weeks on the run, a fugitive was last night charged with the murders of his father, a renowned art curator, and his sister, a cookbook author.
The man, an actor who has schizophrenia, had pulled out a small knife and threatened self-harm as police closed in on him in bushland northwest of Sydney yesterday.

Waterlow in custody over double murder

Anthony Waterlow has not applied for bail after being charged over a double murder in Sydney’s east.
After nearly three weeks on the run, Antony Waterlow was arrested yesterday and charged over the stabbing murders of his father Nick and sister Chloe at her Randwick home.
The 42-year-old has also been charged with recklessly wounding a two-year-old child.

Teen girls spit, steal and punch in rampage

Two teenage girls have been charged over a rampage through Drummoyne in Sydney’s inner west yesterday afternoon.
Police say that when they arrived at the corner of Victoria Road and Lyons Road yesterday, the pair had allegedly already assaulted three people.
It is alleged the melee started when the girls stole a piggy bank from the front counter of a dry cleaners store.
They then allegedly punched the shop keeper.
A few minutes later police allege the girls pulled a cyclist off his bike and repeatedly kicked and punched him.

Crackdown on shabby eateries

RESTAURANTS in Parramatta’s Eat Street will have to obey stringent rules to lift the look of the area and to improve pedestrian access.
But Parramatta Council will not ban smoking in outdoor areas, despite heavy lobbying from cancer care groups.
Instead, restaurants are expected to set aside about half of their outdoor dining areas for non-smokers with clear signage.
They also have to provide wind-proof ashtrays and keep the area clear of cigarette butts.
