Coldest week of the year
This week is shaping up as the coldest week of the year so far. That is not unusual as July is the coldest month and the period where you would typically expect a run of cool daytime temperatures.

June produced a run of 5 days at or below 19 degrees with today making 6 days in a row for July with at least another two cool days to come.
Rainfall has been a little heavier along the coast than expected with widespread falls of 10 to 20mm east of Parramatta overnight.
The southern half of Sydney has received the best falls today, although most are only a couple of mm. 8mm at Greystanes has been the heaviest.
An trough off the Queensland coast is helping to provide plenty of upper support for the showers with possible moderate to heavy falls with showers overnight and during Thursday with a cool top of 16.
Showers will still be around on Friday however a stabilising ridge of high pressure will push up the coast with the showers easing through the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach 17.
By Saturday the ridge should dominate the atmosphere over Sydney with a partly cloudy but dry day with 18 degrees.
A front crossing the south of the state will produce some showers on Sunday but temperature will warm a little further with a forecast top of 19
