A MAN has been arrested following a raid on an alleged drug house containing more than 200 cannabis plants worth close to half a million dollars, police estimate.

200 cannabis plants

The plants were found growing in four separate rooms in a house at Parkland Road, Carlingford, in Sydney’s west, about 10.30am (AEST) yesterday.

Police estimate they have a potential street value of $420,000.

A 47-year-old man was arrested when he arrived at the property late yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and charged with numerous offences including cultivating a prohibited plant (large commercial) and driving while disqualified.

Bail was refused for him to appear at Parramatta local court today.
