Police charge 10th person over Parramatta jewellery store roberry
A Robbery and Serious Crime Squad Strike Force established to investigate an armed hold-up at a jewellery store in Sydney’s west last month has made its tenth arrest.

Strike Force Perratt was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged robbery of a jewellery store within a major shopping centre at Parramatta, just before 11am on Wednesday 15 April.
Three men wearing balaclavas entered the store and threatened employees with a firearm, before allegedly smashing a glass display cabinet with a sledgehammer and stealing a number of items. As a result of their inquiries, Strike Force detectives arrested a man at his home in Cumberland Road, Auburn, at 9.20am yesterday.
The 21-year-old man was taken to Auburn Police Station where he was questioned and charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon. He was refused bail and appeared at Burwood Local Court yesterday afternoon. The man was remanded to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.
The Strike Force Perratt investigation relates to links between the jewellery store robbery at Parramatta and armed robberies of fast food outlets in Sydney’s south-west. The investigation is continuing and further arrests are expected.
