Well, mo and behold…hats off to Movember participants
JUST as they were getting used to their new looks, Paul Garrard and Trevor Oldfield had to shave off the moustaches which they had grown for a good cause.

It was either that or the Lord Mayor and Parramatta Chamber of Commerce president would have been heading for domestic disharmony as neither of their wives liked their hairy visages.
So, on Monday, December 1, both men’s whiskers were whisked off before lunch-time.
Lord Mayor Garrard and Mr Oldfield had risked their wives’ wrath to fundraise for prostate cancer research, joining other men in growing mos for Movember.
While Cr Garrard was no stranger to a hairy top lip, having sported a mo in the ‘80s-’90s, Mr Oldfield was a first-timer and he had considered keeping his on, if wife Livia had agreed.
“I had grown attached to it or rather, it was attached to me, and I could easily have kept it on, but my wife is happy to see it go,’’ Mr Oldfield told the Parramatta Advertiser.
Lady Mayoress Karen Garrard said she was “glad to see it go’’ when her husband had his mo shaved at the barber.
“I think the era of the moustache has passed and I think Paul looks better without it,’’ she said.
Cr Garrard said he had raised about $2500 and Mr Oldfield had raised about $2000 for prostate cancer research.
